Heres my anamatic of the horse trot.I am quite pleased with this one, although I think the hips and chest would be more successful if they moved more as separate objects.

For one of my personal projects I want to do a horse walking, trotting and running. This is my first anamatic of the horse walk.

For part of my Collaborative I am doing the Opening scene for my friends film 'Kiwi Bird Adventure'. This is an enjoyable project it is more cartoony than everything else I am doing.

Motion Builder

 

This year we were introduced to the software Motion Builder. Our project was to select five preanimated sequences and merge them together to appear seamless and incooperate our own animation on the biped. I found the software successful for blending pre animated clips together but tricky when it came to animating. For the second part of our project we had to do three different walk cycles to idols on a creature, I used my dog for reference. I found the creature part more enjoyable than the biped although I had a lot of problems with the rig and the model. I am glad I am familiar with Motion Builder for the future.

Pre Production

For part of my collaboration for my major I am working on my friends film which is a battlescene between barbarians and soilders. I am going to do a run cycle for both, I am currently working on the pre production for my sequences. This is an animatic I did for the run cycle of the barbarian.I am going to go back to this and put more movement in the hips.
